Land Trust Alliance
Great Resource for finding State based Land Trusts any where in the USA. Excellent resource site to help learn how to establish or participate in a Land Trust. And excellent way for Pilots to become affiliated with local Land Trust Resources.

The River Network
Nation's leader in supporting grassroots river and watershed conservation groups. The site links activists with the information and services they need. An example of a parallel organization for rivers preservation in the USA.

The Nature Conservancy
Preserves the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. Have a similar sort of preservation mission. Completely conservation focused. Have excellent resources for planning to work with Land Trusts and determining how properties might be saved.

Valley Floor Preservation Partners
Telluride Valley group maintains open lands in this unique area of Colorado.
